Questions
Why does my signature need to be at least 10 KB?
Many portals reject files below a minimum because a tiny file usually means an unreadable signature. A clean signature at 140 × 60 px can come out under 10 KB; if that happens, choose 6 × 2 cm, which has more pixels.
What is the best way to photograph a signature?
Sign three or four times on plain white paper with a black or blue ball pen, pick the best one, and photograph it in daylight from straight above with no shadow of your phone.
Is 6 × 2 cm the same as 140 × 60 px?
No. 140 × 60 px is a pixel size used by many online forms. 6 × 2 cm is a printed size; at 200 DPI it is 472 × 157 px. Use whichever your notification mentions.
Will the background be removed?
The paper is turned pure white so the signature looks crisp on the form. The output is a JPG, which has no transparency, as most portals require.
